Laniakea means "immense heaven" in Hawaiian and is also the very appropriate name of our galaxy's supercluster, home to not just the Milky Way, but approximately 100,000 other galaxies.

When choosing the name for our Foundation, Laniakea fit perfectly. Laniakea represents both our home and the immense heaven of possibility all around us. Home is important because we need to appreciate and understand where we truly are and how we got here. An immense heaven of possibilities is important because after appreciating and understanding where we are, we know that we are not meant to be static, but yet instead to explore the endless possibilities that surround us, that are in us.

At Laniakea, we are looking for answers. How do we live truly healthy lives? How do we truly, consistently and rapidly amplify and secure all aspects of health? How can we individually and collectively thrive.
